Born in Amman in 1993, Fadi Zumot felt called to the world of art, design, film and fashion from an early age.
He gained his first costume design accreditation at the Jordan’s Royal Film Commission, and went on to pursue fashion and pattern making in more depth at the Instituto Di Moda Borgo in Amman.
Fadi is closely connected with the arts scene in Amman. He is a founding member of MyKali magazine, an underground publication with an international audience, and works regularly on local film projects, directing style and fashion-related design on set. His latest collaborations included independent performance project Republic of the Body, which sought, through design, to manifest bodies deemed unacceptable by society.
Zumot currently works as Gallery Coordinator at Wadi Finan Art Gallery in the heart of Amman, while working on his first human biology-inspired collection anticipated later this year.
